Recall policy¶
Decide how recalls made from webmail and recall requests arriving from Outlook are handled, and follow all events by sender.
Global administratorAdmin console › Tools and Migration › Profelis Recall
User side: Recall.
Events and summary¶
- Click Tools and Migration › Profelis Recall. The cards at the top show the current mode, the Unread only and Same sender settings, and the event, applied and failed counts.
- Type part of a sender, recipient, subject, Message-ID or detail into the search box (2); the list is filtered as you type.
- The Recalls by sender table (3) gives Total, Deleted, Trashed, Tagged, Failed (error / denied / ambiguous) and Other (not found / read) per sender. Clicking a row filters the list to that sender.
- The Recent events table below lists time, result, recall sender, recipient, subject and target Message-ID, newest first.

The panel shows the last 2000 events; the permanent record is on the server.
Policy¶
- Click Policy... in the toolbar (1 in the image above); the Recall Policy dialog opens.
- Choose the mode in When recall arrives (1):
- off: recalls are ignored.
- tag: the original is marked, never deleted (safe default).
- trash: the original is moved to Trash.
- delete: the original is removed permanently; this cannot be undone.
- With Only if original is unread (2) on, messages the recipient has opened are left alone.
- With Only if recall sender = original sender (3) on, requests whose sender does not match the original are rejected.
- If needed, enter Allowed sender domains (comma separated; empty means any) and the Tag name (tag mode) (4). Send recall report to sender notifies the sender after processing.
- OK (5). The policy applies to the whole server.

Outlook requests carry no authentication
Outlook recall messages are advisory. Choose delete only if you accept the risk; tag is recommended to start with.
Scope
Recall works only for recipients on the same mail system; a message that went outside the organisation cannot be recalled.
