Mailbox move

Move an account to another mail server with a short interruption: data is copied first while the source stays live, then a short switch-over is made, shares are repaired and the result is verified.

Moving an account

1. Open Tools and Migration › Profelis Move and enter the address in the account field (for example jane.doe@zpe.profelis.net).
2. In the target server list choose the mail server the account moves to.
3. Press Preflight. The result appears in the information line above the list (for example the number of open shares); any problem is shown there as a warning.
4. If there are no warnings, Start Move.

Following the move

1. The job appears in the list on the same screen; update it with Refresh.
2. The Phase column shows PRECOPY → CUTOVER → IMPORT → SHARE_REPAIR → VERIFY in order; the Progress and Summary columns give the detail. During the CUTOVER the account is in maintenance mode briefly.
3. If VERIFY is green and Delete Source is enabled, you can delete the copy on the source.

Deleting the source cannot be undone

The source is never deleted automatically. Delete Source is enabled only if all checks (share repair, fingerprint comparison) are green.

If share repair did not complete

If the SHARE_REPAIR row has errors, Delete Source stays disabled. Check the owner and grantee accounts on the Share inventory screen.
