Requirements

Before you start, make sure the server, access and installation package are ready.

Server

• A working Zimbra installation. Zimbra PFE 10.1 is recommended; single sign-on (SAML) and Always On run only on Zimbra PFE 10.
• Root (sudo) access and the zimbra user.
• unzip, systemd and enough free disk space under /opt/zimbra.

Network

The admin console is on 9071

The admin console is at https://<server>:9071/, not on 443; the firewall must allow this port from the admin network.

Installation package

To obtain the installation package and release notes, contact Profelis. The package is built for your Ubuntu release (20.04, 22.04 or 24.04).

Pre-check

As root:

su - zimbra -c 'zmcontrol status'
command -v unzip
df -h /opt/zimbra

The mailbox and ldap lines must be Running, and webmail and the :9071 admin sign-in must open in the browser.
